A near-incoherent update of my December shenanigans
I’ve been way too busy to write anything substantial in terms of public blog posts. Since I came back from Florida late November, work-related things have taken over my life. I’ve never been so grateful that I love my work, otherwise these hours and conditions would break me.
I’ve found pockets of time in between to see friends, and that’s what’s kept me sane.
The weekend after Florida, I went to the SociaLIGHT conference (a leadership conference) with Benji. They had some pretty high profile speakers there, including Robin Sharma, Bruce Poon Tip and Seth Godin. Jealous? You should be. They were AWESOME.

Since then, I’ve started adapting some new habits, including waking up early in the morning to work out and journalling every single day. Both have been working out exceptionally well. :)

The next weekend, Jon took me to Vittorio’s on Avenue for dinner. It had been a month since I’d been downtown, and hadn’t realized how much I miss that lifestyle until I stepped foot into Vittorio’s. I’ve become such an uptown girl, that it almost felt foreign to me.

But nothing felt more like home than the NPS Christmas tree and skating rink. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I miss downtown.
Saturday was Tian’s birthday at Mercatto. She makes me feel old, lol. Such a popular girl, I didn’t even get the chance to talk to her much, but I *did* get to catch up with Jacky and Russ, which was nice. :) End of the night gave me an unfortunate, but much needed closure. Which, in hindsight, is also nice.

Met up with Chris for pre-Christmas dinner at Bulgogee House, since he is ronesomes. :) Actually, I’ve been spending a disgusting amount of time with Chris Dick Tom lately. OK, in all honesty, I’ve really needed a springboard for conversation and someone to confide in these days, and Chris has really been there for me. Yay, good friend!

Speaking of people I’ve been spending a disgusting amount of time with (also, speaking of people who have been here for me these days), Benji’s springing up in my social life all over the place. As if it wasn’t enough that I work with him. xD Practically half my free time is spent following him around as he shops for people other than me, haha.

Speaking of awkward software developers, guess who else came back into my life? Jaron’s back for the holidays, w00t! Met up with him for lunch to make flambe vodka omelettes, lol.

Suffice to say, it didn’t turn out well… lol.
Hmm… what else have I been doing?…
- I’ve been going to hot yoga consistently. For the most part, I still find it insufferably boring, but I’m *starting* to get into the zone…
- Wrapped up Monday night volleyball, so I’ll probably start dance soon. :)
- Got the ol’ marketing crew together for dinner, and caught up with Jason & Aaron. (Snakes & Lattes again, let’s go!)
- Lunch with Lucy at Restoran Malaysia! Yayyy! I haven’t been seeing a lot of girlfriends lately, it definitely felt good talking to someone “softer” than the dudes I’m usually surrounded by, haha. <3
- I saw Vicky off (with Nak Won & Sherlock Holmes) before she left for China for a month. *tear*
- Met up with Philc for lunch @I Feel Like Crepe… might be doing car shopping with him soon, hehe. :)
I am le tired. And so, concludes my incoherent update post.
