Hmm… where did I leave off… Christmas?

So, the days post-Christmas were mostly spent car shopping for me. I graciously had the help of Coolin and jlee to help me select and negotiate on a car, and I was able to seal the day by my 3rd day of car shopping! w00t! I ended up getting a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. Thanks to Coolin & jlee for all their help! :D

Other than that, work has still been raping me well into the new year. I’ve been watching an unhealthy amount of Adventure Time in my “free time”. What I need these days is precisely the mindless, magical distraction I get from Adventure Time. :D

I was too tired to do anything high maintenance for NYE, so I spent it at Ben’s with bad movies and lackluster rounds of Taboo and Kings. Good to see the ol’ bastard again though.

Turned out that I would be spending New Year’s Day bedridden. I fell victim to a state of fever, nausea, dizzy spells that kept me delirious for the better part of the day. Great way to ring in the new year. I guess I was overdue for getting sick anyway. But strangely enough, despite how horrific New Year’s Day was, I had already bounced back and was pretty much my energetic self within 24 hours. =S

I managed to see Jaron off right before he left for Seattle on Tuesday. We didn’t get to do round 2 for our vodka culinary arts, so we just went to Restoran Malaysia for lunch, hehe. Turns out, Jaron might be going to Chicago with me in February. w00t w00t! Very excited! :D

On Wednesday, I was jet setting myself to go to San Diego. After a long, tiring flight, I was greeted with the best sight in the world. Sonny! :D Sonny took me across Coronado Bridge to Coronado Island, where all the rich folks live. xD

We had sushi there (some of the most interesting sushi I’d ever had!) and took a stroll along the pier to look out into downtown San Diego. Then, Sonny took me to UCSD and we chilled on the rooftop to some Mascato and the quiet night. Good times, albeit brief. Can’t wait to be back in March! :D 

I came back on Friday, barely grabbed a wink of sleep before I was back in the office. A tiring week, for suresies. Friday night was Chris’s birthday at Rush Hour. Times with Chris is a surefire way to have a chill night, haha. “The Gang” reunited for the first time in… a year? all for Chris. ALL FOR CHRIS. We spent as much time discussing what to do after dinner (decidedly: nothing) as we did on dinner. AWKWARD.

Got to see Benji again before he boots it to Korea. Bastard didn’t leave any time for me in his entire stay, and now he’s gone.

Other Benji is gone today too. I’ll miss him at work… sigh, who am I going to be up to my shenanigans with now? :(
