cheers to the freakin’ weekend

w00t! started off the weekend right with my girls at xin jiang restaurant in scarbs. xin jiang’s been on my radar since my boss took us there 2 weeks ago. it was surprisingly good for a chinese restaurant that my non-asian boss took me to. xD

yummm… they’re do amazing skewers, and they do spicy food really well too!

asian night: bbt & karaoke

after dinner, we went to destiny for bbt, oreo cake, and pseudo shots. ;) stuffed to the brim, we waddled over to karaoke at mix2 and sang our hearts out. party rock was in the house that night, haha. :D

snaaakes!

saturday, i went downtown with coolin to meet up with jizz at snakes and lattes (my fav winter time pastime haha). we discovered a new game called “cards against humanity”, which is like apples to apples, but incredibly offensive.

it was great fun! and just like the box says, it’s a great game for horrible people. if you love off-coloured and risque humour, this is totally the game for you.

also, i was hoping that coolin and chris would become the best of friends, but there was no magic there. oh well. i won’t stop trying. cuz i don’t know when to give up. :)

grapefruit moon and bummin’

after snakes, jizz had to go to chris’s birthday dinner (WHICH I WAS NOT INVITED TO) so coolin and i went to grapefruit moon for dinner. it was a really cute place, tucked away at bathurst/dupont. of all people, coolin suggested it. it exactly seem like his kind of joint. the place has a really home-grown feel, with its mismatched dishware and graffiti-ed walls, serving up comfort food and friendly waitstaff. seems to be primarily brunch place, but i’m always in the mood for breakfast food, so it sit right with me. :)

followed up dinner with a nice cappuccino at green beanery, which just hit the spot on such a cold, wintery day (felt like the coldest day we’ve had all winter, although that’s not saying much). feels good to be back in toronto. :)

wrapped up the night by taking over chris’s place and watching adventure time and arrested development over potato chip bingeing, as per the new tradition…? haha :D
