Pixelated bukkake
You know you’re married to your work when you go back into the office on a Friday night after dinner to work… on your own accord.
I think I’m teeter-tottering between that sweet spot of being perfectly in my element at work and having an unhealthy addiction to it. I can’t seem to disengage these days, and it’s actually starting to get a little weird. In the mornings, I often wake up to dreams about work, which smoothly transition into conscious thoughts about work, in a continuous flow. It’s quite freaky…

Sooo… on to the weekend! Second weekend in a row to rendez-vous at Snakes & Lattes over Cards Against Humanity. Lovely game. Especially since I won this time, with gems like “German dungeon porn. High five, bro.” and “Pixelated bukkake is a slippery slope to getting so angry, I popped a boner.”

The main event, however, was Settlers of Catan. A table of newbs who didn’t or barely knew how to play. And also didn’t know how to distribute the resources OR numbers, for that matter.

It was a messed up game, to say the least. Chris, the only person who knew how to play the game has already given up on us, as you can see. :P Linda came in for the unexpected win, even after Jacky and Jo openly conspired to take a cheap win! xD

After gaming, we went to Sushi Couture for dinner. Not a bad sushi place, and slightly high-end for the Annex. Barely filled my belly though, but that’s to be expected for a place with the with “couture” in its name… haha.

After dinner, we made the awful, awful choice of going to watch A Dangerous Method. This movie was just TURRIBLE. The dialogue was soo overly pretentious and boring that even Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortenson’s stand-up performances couldn’t keep me engaged. The uneventfulness of the plot made even the under-2hr movie seem to drag on forever.
Speaking of horrible movies.

The Tourist had the worst on screen chemistry between two leads that I have ever seen. And between Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, no less? In a romantic mystery intrigue? It has all the makings of - at the very least - a good, entertaining movie, but it fell so short of that, I just started laughing at dramatic scenes and scenes that were supposed to be filled with sexual tension.
Sigh… definitely not good movie choices as of late…
Well, onto a Sunday filled with family celebrations for Chinese New Year, and (probably, because I can’t seem to drag myself away) some work to ramp up for the upcoming week!

Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! =D
