I’m finding it more and more of a necessity to simplify my life these days, so I’m going back to basics. I’m making it a habit to partaking in the everyday activities that I used to take joy in, but - for whatever reason - rarely find time for anymore.
Things like
- reading
- journalling
- exercising
- goal setting
- stretching
Things have gotten so hectic and messy that I haven’t had time to add these things into my day, but I think now is when I need it the most. It helps me mentally balance things and break from whatever issue it is I’m dealing with so that I can tackle it with a fresh mind afterward. What a blessing it is to have the free time and capacity to pursue these small pleasures in life.
