Adam Bornstein
Let me introduce you to my favourite health and fitness writer: Adam Bornstein.
When it comes to writing about fitness, nutrition and general health and well-being, there’s a lot of dispute - even amongst industry experts - about the best methods to achieve success. This puts a damper on people who are already confused enough and struggling as it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle, weight and body image.
Health trends come and go, and with each trend, there emerges a new guru to back it up with “sound scientific result” and “proven results”… and the space is saturated with enough polarized opinions to blow anyone’s mind. Needless to say, I’ve seen my fair share of these characters, and always take what they say with a grain of salt.
But this Adam Bornstein character… he hits all the right spots. Every one of his pieces offers sound advice, is balanced, considerate, and - most importantly - motivating. It’s not condescending, doesn’t contain jargon, isn’t too verbose, and as far as opinionated pieces are, doesn’t have a tendency to be offensive.
Anyway, if you want to read up on health and fitness, I strongly recommend you follow him. To get a feel for his writing, read his blog posts on the role that genetics play in weight, common nutrition mistakes, or the dirty diet lie.
He’s also the editor of Men’s Health, so you can find his stuff there as well. :)
